Biography
The Spire is a mystical, ethereal place, filled with strange conceptual wavelengths. These unique magics have bestowed the people of the Spire - once, universally Fragments - with unique and powerful boons. Though these boons have also attracted warlords and conquerors, seeking to exploit the Spire for its magic, they have also served to protect their Timeline - allowing them to fight off greater threats when unprepared, untrained, and uncertain of their future. It is a grand place, worthy of study and care, and has gifted its Fragments with the tools to ensure its survival.
All its Fragments, that is, except Powdersnow.
Don't start. Don't try to pull some "but your real power is being the Spire's pencil pusher!" bs to him. He knows it's true - that the leftover, average, useless magics were mixed into his shard as it fell into the Timeline when Genesis broke. And yes, he's tried a million different things to "discover" what secretive power he could possibly have. There's nothing. He's leftovers. He gets it. Now shut up about how he shouldn't give up and please just sign the fucking documents, because he has a lot of places to be, a lot of things to sort, and a lot of anxiety to try to ignore. And please, please don't start on "you belong just as much as anyone else". He's made himself a niche, he knows he belongs, he sticks to that niche. So sign the papers, and he can go back to that niche. Thanks.

♥♥♥♥♥ Meleph
Relationship: Partner, Begrudgingly...
Listen. If he ever mysteriously disappears from the Spire, check Meleph's dungeons first. Wait, not that he has that kind of dungeon - ugh. Look, let's just start over. Okay? Okay. Meleph. Conqueror of the Bitter Scope. His... don't say the word. They're not really together. They're not some lovey-dovey couple like Ivy and River. He's kind of a self-important, arrogant bastard, you know. Kind of charmingly so. What? No, he didn't say anything. You're mishearing him. Go away!

♥♥♥♥♡ Ivy Trellis
Relationship: Boss
Well. His job has her blessing, at least. She kind of likes organizing things, too, though, so the guilt is a lot - giving up some of her job that she, y'know, actually enjoys just so Powdersnow can pretend like he's being useful. It's not like she has a lot of stress-free stuff going on - like, what, just her boyfriend? Er, sorry. She's a good leader. She's filling in the role really well, depsite the pressure on her. He doesn't envy that much.

♥♡♡♡♡ Fearlock Rigid
Relationship: Pest
This guy. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't go around telling everyone at his auctions that he's from the Spire! It's like he doesn't give a shit about how his antics affect everyone back at home. Like, fine, leave, go raid people's dying worlds, Powdersnow will just judge you for taking advantage of that from afar. But stop pointing interested parties back to the Spire! You're such a selfish DICK, he can't believe he ever dated you!!!

♥♥♥♡♡ New Moon
Relationship: Friend
New Moon is holding up well, all things considered. He's so... energetic. Kind of naively spitfire, if that makes sense. Wants to chomp at the bit and take the search and fight to everyone the Spire's been avoiding for years. Personally, Powdersnow doesn't think it's wise for him to try - or that he has the experience and steeled heart to survive it - but he knows he's sort of a negative person, and it's not really his decision, anyways, and who is he to tell the Scion of the Spire what to do, really....

♥♥♥♡♡ Frigid Wind
Relationship: Friendly Enough(?)
He's glad to know Frigid is visiting home more often. He went through a lot of rough patches, especially during the war... battles were actually fought over him. People kidnapped him. Sent search parties after him. Cared. It's... still embarrassing to think how much he blew up on Frigid after they were both "rescued". He understands why Frigid keeps his distance, and he keeps his. But maybe they can mend that bridge... eventually? Ugh. He knows it's wishful thinking.

♥♥♥♥♡ Ghost of Books & Paragon Moon
Relationship: Real Bosses
Hopes they're ok somewhere out there. The fact that they haven't heard anything from them... no sightings, no contact, despite their combined strength... well, in honesty, Powdersnow is pretty sure they're dead. But no one really acknowledges the idea, or wants to talk about it. He used to float it to people occasionally, but they all reacted with horror and disgust that he'd think, for a moment, that their blessed leaders are gone. But if they're not dead... where are they? Who across voicespace could keep them that long? And when will they come for the rest of the Spire...?

♥♥♥♥♡ Porcelain
Relationship: Friend
Porcelain is so nice. To everyone, really, but that's saying something considering how rude people can be to them. They're a great listener, and very curious about most things and people... ugh. He's kind of a shitty friend, isn't he, if he can't even think of a good compliment to give Porcelain. Like, listener? Really? They're good at listening to him bitch and whine, and that's all their relationship is? ...Sorry. You can go now.

♥♥♡♡♡ River Pebble
Relationship: Dislike
Yeah, he's firmly in camp "no idea why Ivy and River are an item". Well, he gets it on the surface. Their personalities compliment and contrast; Ivy lives through River's relatively-stress-free life and has a powerful trump card in her pocket; River... gets to fuck Ivy? Actually, maybe he doesn't get it. However, he's long gotten the fact that River is kind of a jerk. He's impulsive and a little bit... pushy? Mean? He can be, at times. Of course everyone still loves him for some reason. It's the cute thing, isn't it?

♥♥♥♡♡ the Serpent in the Water
Relationship: Friendly
To say that Powdersnow is glad Serpent is back... is an understatement. He'd thought Serpent dead, honestly, for all those years. But no! Here Serpent is, in the magic, strutting about the Spire like they never left. Their connections with the mob are... deeply concerning, but they claim to have good relationships with their direct underlings, and haven't had issues with their upstream for years since settling a debt or what not. The idea of a Spire-born being in debt, and then returning to the Spire to dodge it... either way, he's still glad Serpent is back. This is their home, too - their birthplace, where they belong. Just as long as they stop trying to dig through Powdersnow's archive towers.

♥♥♥♡♡ Mylith
Relationship: Acquaintance
She's nice. People gravitate around her like she's magnetic. It makes sense, he guesses - she's bright, and confident, and charismatic, and powerful. There's a myriad of reasons one would want to befriend Mylith, or at least make a good impression. She leaves such an impact on people, and her force of personality is so strong... he's a little envious she can just. Fit in to any where, any group, any time. It's so much easier for her to be accepted. Maybe she used her dream-warping powers to make her inherently likeable, huh? That doesn't sound ethical, does it? Ugh, now he needs to review their laws on mind-altering magic....

♥♥♡♡♡ Heaven
Relationship: Where is He...
It worries him, yeah. Well, it's not like Spire-borns aren't allowed to leave, it's just... why would they? Permanently? What out there is worth the scrutiny, the struggle, the suffering? And what's so bad about their home that you want to leave? ...Stuff he thinks, but wouldn't say to Heaven's face if they ever found him again. It's like an itch he can't scratch, worrying about Heaven. With any luck, he's not getting tortured in some cell somewhere....

♥♥♥♥♡ Jubilee
Relationship: Acquaintance
Jubilee doesn't even talk to him when he visits - he goes right to Ivy, or sometimes he doesn't visit at all and sends a high-ranked COR operative instead - but he's so... cool. He's so calm and collected and direct. When he looks at people, it's like he's reading them - like they're just a completely open book to him, whether they like it or not. And his mysterious Rendgen Blessing... he's a powerful figure for sure. One that's easy to be envious of.

♡♡♡♡♡ Ometeotl
Relationship: Enemy
He's just... an asshole. Now he's a religious asshole, woohoo. Which is absurd, because it took Shestiugolnik how long to actually stop Ometeotl's reign of terror? And Ometeotl acts like he was smited by god himself, rambles on and on about the machinations of the Magnitude Fragments. He's just bona fide crazy, unhinged, erratic, selfish, cruel. Funny he's done such an about-face about his policies and life goals, considering how deeply cutthroat and barbaric he had been before. Making up for lost time, eh, you fucking dick?
Literatures
Trivia
- The pendant was a gift from Meleph, and elevates Powdersnow into "capable mage" instead of "passable". He pretends he doesn't cherish it.
- During the wars for the Spire, Powdersnow was kidnapped by Ometeotl and held for ransom. Ransom was not paid, but he was returned at the end of the wars regardless. Feels both guilty for being a liability and resentful that nobody cared to save him, though he also knows he was a low priority comparatively but also just ugh.
- Meleph keeps bringing him fancy cold-weather shawls, dresses, and tiaras from the Bitter Scope. He likes dressing in them when no one's around (especially not Meleph).
