Biography

Mu lives.

Sure, other Timelines are "alive" - populated with mortals, plants, fauna, magic. That's not really what Feyrisx means when he complains about managing Mu on a rare vacation in Eta. No, rather, Mu itself is alive: the Timeline, from its beating heart to its clouds far above, is flesh and bone, viscera and intestine, meat and thinking. If there's one thing he's thankful for, it's that the damn Timeline is at least protective - catching falling mortals by lifting rolls of groundflesh, growing food for its people deep within its organs, mimicking the technology of the outside with neurons and synapses and electricty. It's kind. It provides. And he's long gotten over the gore and blood, anyways.

As he's manager of the damned place, and his hands are full - freeing intruders from digestive polyps, clearing away flesh from some of the buildings they all try to maintain like normal, soothing Mu when it becomes agitated and overprotective, handling COR requests for information and statistics, being the defacto 'leader' of sorts... the list truly never ends. Most of Feyrisx doesn't mind. It's just his duty as its favorite Fragment.

He can be snappy, taking no shit and coming off as aggressive, but most of his confrontational energy is directed towards Mu, who he treats almost like a misbehaving puppy. That the Timeline adores him is a well-known given, and it puts up with any demands of his and obeys orders without question - seemingly enjoying pleasing Fey as best as it can. Though he understands others' trepidation towards Mu and its sentient mind, he's grateful - though apologetic - to any visitors, eager to show them around. One might even say that maybe... maybe Fey loves it back, too.

Relationship: Bickering Old Married Couple

Ah, Mu, you bastard. It doesn't even really talk. It projects emotions, images, sensations into his mind, and he's become its foremost translator. But it's still alive. That's not ever in question. And the connection is always on, and it's always sensing those emotions and snapshots from Fey in turn. In a way, it's comforting to have something so powerful be so... understanding of him. You know, the first time he ever really felt like the damn thing was really alive... it laughed at one of his jokes. That was the rubicon, wasn't it?

♥♥♥♥♡ Aenoxa

Relationship: Friends

Aenoxa appreciates Mu as much as Fey does, but... for different reasons. He tries to not let it upset him - after all, they live in a world comprised of flesh and blood, so it's not out of the ordinary to become attracted to gore, right? Right?? It's just normal for them. And Aenoxa totally doesn't take it too far, right?? Well, beyond that, he's glad Aenoxa is at least superficially nice and easy to get along with, always chipper and eager to do assigned tasks so long as they aren't too intensive. And Aenoxa remembers his birthday, so.

Relationship: Friends?

It's no secret that Izallvor has grown exhausted with Mu's smothering, and has been seeking a way out. Fey has no idea how such a thing would work - certainly the COR would be displeased, right? And, of course, he'd miss Izallvor - even with the other's constant bitching and disgust for their shared home. He wasn't always so full of vitriol for Mu, and Fey hates seeing Zall so tortured by the changes it developed. If he could wave a wand and have Zall just be OK with Mu, Fey would feel bad - but he'd take it over their current situation.

Relationship: Um...

Fey appreciates that Aryl isn't as scared of the meat thing than most people, and doesn't gawk when Fey pulls out his phone made of flesh, bone, and organ tissue. But, it's not like anyone is really friends with Aryl - not in the way he's friends with Aenoxa and Izallvor.

Relationship: Gets Along

Ah, the COR. Or, the face of the COR, really. Fey has a good deal of respect for how much work the COR manages to execute successfully, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't have a share of critiques, too. No point blaming it all on Jubilee, though - it's a many-headed beast, with many masters at its whip.

Trivia

As soon as Mu figured out he liked collecting weapons, it started stocking an armory of bone blades for him. He usually only carries around the one machete, though.
Keeps inviting people at Eta parties to visit Mu. Very few take him up on the offer. Fewer still take him up on follow-up trip invites.
Sleeps nestled deep in a warm, slightly-humid alcove - created on demand by Mu in whatever wall he's near when he's tired. Technically has a house, he thinks, but he's almost never near it anyways.
Tries to keep the interior of the city hall clean of flesh so that it scares visitors less - an ongoing battle as Mu tries to reclaim it. Mu thinks this is a hilarious tug of war. Secretly, so does Fey.
Super athletic for a Fragment. Can scamper and scurry like nobody's business. Uses Mu to his advantage - to launch him further when he jumps, catch him when he falls, to make paths where there were none, to seal off his quarry's route. Is it cheating? Fuck you.
