Nicknames: Zirc, Zir, Runt (derogatory)
Zirconia is one of the six still living Beta Fragments, out of an original seven - a number adjustment he personally saw to reality. Cruel, malicious, overreaching, Zirconia spearheaded the invasion of both Gamma and Theta, the latter without informing anyone prior. Both invasions stemmed from a personal drive for resources, additions to his hold on Beta, hoping to leverage what the other Fragments would willingly, desperately, import for their own regions. Beta was unstable, take Gamma's augmetia. And when Aite gets a choke hold on that? Find whatever is making Theta tick, and take that.
The response from the native Fragments was considerably more robust than Gamma, ousting the assault squadrons a few weeks after Zirconia kidnapped Meyp and Vuaria. However, tenuous diplomatic negotiations were had, and the link between timelines re-established, with Zirconia as the representative of Beta. An obsessive relationship with Meyp later and he's quickly started collecting Theta Fragments in his bed, each chipping away at the paranoid violence he keeps himself wrapped in until he's cooing over old enemies, barely recognizable from the Frag murderer of yesteryear.

Relationship: Life Partner
Far from Zirconia's first partner from Theta, but one of his closest. He's an anxious control freak of a brat- and in several of those ways reminds Zirc of himself- but despite that he trusted Zirconia, gave him a weapon that could have easily folded the entirety of Beta and Theta both, perhaps even the COR. He still wonders if Szeretet saw straight through him and knew what pacifistic comfort the weapon would grant him- or if he did it on some wild gut instinct- but he's greatful to have been shown such trustful regard nonetheless.
Zirconia's first lover in the sense of actually caring about someone else, being concerned for their well-being, their likes, dislikes, wants and want-nots. The first person he stopped for when asked- not because 'stop' was a threat where choosing not to listen was picking a fight he had to weigh the costs of, but because Meyp wanted something, and Zirc wanted to give it to him. To his surprise - far from unpleasant - Meyp does enjoy him being demanding and controlling, an aspect of himself he never thought would be desired.
Their relationship is really quite simple: Czenete is - always was - utterly devoted and obsessed with Zirconia. And Zirconia - by way of years first trusting un-intimidating Theta Fragments- feels safe and comfortable in his arms. Zirconia can shed every semblance of control and self-reliance- not that he always chooses to do so. After all, is there anything more alluring than Czenete folded under his hand?
Aite, Zirconia's newest lover. A word that still sometimes tastes wrong for the needling, snide fragment, as Zirconia tries to convince himself the act was pretending not to care, not to want in return, that 'loving' was a lie - it's so much harder than Mortie, but somehow so worth it that Zirconia clings to it, pushes it, snarls that he won't give Aite the choice anyways, even as the mere idea that Aite doesn't want him like this makes his being crack at the edges.

Mortie, Baby, a name purred lovingly between sharp teeth. Something terribly ironic about their circumstances, that a known murderer, presumably waiting for any opportunity to repeat, should be so insistent on not killing Mortie. That it would be a cornerstone of their relationship - violent, volatile, Zirconia does not take his bait. Goading, dangling temptation, Mortie doesn't want him to take it. And when Mortie stops, sometimes only for the moment, Zirconia can breath in his playfulness, and enjoy every moment - even the goading.
Relationship: Ambassador (Boyfriend)
Aloof, distant, particular, authoritative, intimidating-not-terrifying, it's actually a wonder Zirconia weaseled his way in with Vuaria in the first place. What interest does he have- besides negotiations- with a reckless, rash, ruthless Beta Fragment? And yet it is on rare, pleasant occasion that Zirconia finds himself melted in Vuaria's firm hand, with little reason and less ability to change his circumstance - even Zirconia cannot challenge the raw power of an Original, Blessed so deeply by a Magnitude Fragment, a thought that is playful - not frightening.
It's not that Paradscha is a threat, not on his own, not anymore, it's that he would be the first one to take an excuse, a guaranteed ally to anyone who chooses to finally pick a fatal bone with Zirconia. Completely and utterly trustworthy, heart and intent on his sleeve, the would-be next murderer of Beta.
Relationship: Booty Call
Vivi is... uninhibited. Uninhibiting. Peculiar to compare the ruler of Theta's basement to his other lovers, but it's something different, unhinged, feral, instinctively thoughtless and inconsequential, irreplaceably so. And they can be that way, in the moment, because what place has political paranoia, in the place made just for bodies to meet?
Zirconia finds Ciro to be no true threat, despite Szeretet's absolute preference for the Theta fragment. Skillful, but not like Zirconia. Powerful, but not like Zirconia. They've lacked the time to grow close personally, only sharing in a mostly-equal investment of love towards Szeretet.
Amira is consistent- unbothered, unbothersome. He doesn't want anything except a log of your ships. Zirconia tentatively considers this a boon, preferring always to keep Amira on one side during Beta meetings- Someone with little enough investment in their politics that he has few reasons to backstab Zirc. Few, not none, but for a long time better than anyone else in the room.
Relationship: Obnoxious Tool
Ayrl is surprisingly un-concerned with Zirconia's history, and thus blatantly needy for his attention. Zirconia can't fathom what bottom-feeders sub for such a spineless whelp, he doesn't stick around long enough to find out.
Relationship: Godlike in Comparison
In a word? Terrifying - all the Magnitude Fragments are, why wouldn't they be? How much worse, then, to know this one thinks like him? He takes what assurance he can in the prospect, has plans in case losing the one fine silver lining of the COR does backfires against them. He dares not rest easy in his presumptions.
Relationship: 'The COR'
Useless red tape dispenser - Zirconia couldn't be happier to leave the COR and their meddling behind. Not like they did anyone any good. Not Beta, not Psi, not Gamma, and - he's heard the tales - not Lambda. They're much better off without the high-and-mighty declarations, signed, sealed and delivered by yours truly, like he relishes interfering in balance more delicate than he could possibly comprehend.
- Zirconia is the only Fragment of Beta to have killed another, and is where he got his miscolored halo. Killing another Fragment is a horrible, rare thing - one not easy to accomplish or done lightly.
- Was kidnapped by Alpha terrorists early in his life, and is unaware of the corruption related to the event.
- Owns some of the warmest regions of Beta, managing a few very short weeks of swimming weather each year.
- Does not feel Fragment "Love Juice".

- Eyes are catlike slits. Tailtip ends in ivoric spikes.
- Body is countershaded; bottom of neck, stomach, arms, legs, and tail are a lighter blue.
Generic Anatomy Notes
- Muzzles are small and boxy, and they don't have a kitty or dog nose.
- Eyes can be stylized as you'd normally draw.
- Please note that they have four fingers and three toes.
