Biography
In a secluded little room, through winding pathways filled with confusing illusions, secured with elaborate twenty-layer enchanted lock and ward lies a nondescript little wooden door, in the same style as most of Theta's rooms. But behind this door lies a circular room filled top-to-bottom with an array of screens and keyboards, all receiving twenty-four-seven transmission from an army of spying constructs, watched over by none other than Szeretet - alone. Obsessed with security and law, he has taken it upon himself to serve as the singular police force for Theta, keeping track of troublemakers through his constructs' eyes. He presents Vuaria - Theta's leader - with evidence of wrongdoing (or the potential thereof), and if Vuaria approves his warrant, he takes those criminals into his custody - rehabiliting them the best he can in his small jail system.
The ability to both create the quantity of constructs he has, and maintain them - as they feed sensory information straight into his mind - would tell anyone remotely familiar with magic that Szeretet is a mage of great skill. But he sits alone in his control room, isolated from his fellow Fragments and bitter. Though he genuinely means no harm - most of the time - his abrasive attitude, constant spying, and emotional outbursts have pushed the others firmly away, to the point where Meyp and him can barely share the Theta council meeting together. It wouldn't bother him, except - he does crave the others' approval, wants their acceptance, wants to be one of them. Calling him erratic might be an understatement - he lapses through paranoia, anxiety, self-loathing, and aggression with a disjointed speed, pinging from emotion to emotion, almost completely controlled by it. But if nothing else, his loyalty is fierce - and his passion, affection, and devotion are just as intense as his more caustic side.

Relationship: The Whole World, Ex-Lover
Looking at Ciro brings forth a waterfall of guilt, drowning Szeretet in an instant. They shared a long, slow, intense relationship - from shy friends as Ciro approached him, building to inseperable partners, Ciro always sticking his neck out for Szeretet and bringing him along to parties and helping him. And what did Szeretet do to give back to that relationship? How did he treat him? The same way he treats everyone else... with fear and panic and anxiety and intrusive impulses. But Ciro still looks at him so lovingly, and holds him so close, and it hurts his heart so much. He knows Ciro wants to be together again, knows Ciro will wait lifetimes over for Szeretet to agree to be at his side again - but how can he want Szeretet still, after all he did to him? Wouldn't it be better to cut his losses short and move on, like everyone else...?

Stupid Beta criminal, sneaking into Theta and seducing everyone and - and - shut up. He just has this way of wringing vulnerability out of people, or something. He takes everything with a bit of a grin and maybe a moan, and there's something really intoxicating about a guy who loves him, faults and all - or maybe finds something in his faults to love, thinks Szeretet is wonderful even when he's screaming and crying. But unlike Ciro, Zirc has more force behind him - enough confidence to grab Szeretet and hold him close even if he thrashes, and it - it's just - it's nice.

Relationship: Best Friend
His best friend. The Dumortis thing - it doesn't bother him a bit. He mourned Dumortis, and was elated to meet Mortie when Vuaria introduced them. Dumortis always seemed kind of self-important, like he got too obsessed about his noble sacrifice or whatever. Mortie is a lot easier to spend time with, just as smart as Dumortis was, and is honestly a better mage who's more fun to learn from. It's good that Vuaria is leader, as he's calmer and more logical, but in Szeretet's heart, he still thinks of Mortie as the real person to answer to.

Relationship: Friend, Boss
Vuaria is an excellent authority figure: calm, rational, intelligent, quick-witted, and reasonable. He never treats anyone in a patronizing or condescending way, and he always keeps his head, even in crises. And, and - everyone in Theta respects him! He's literally the perfect leader, the kind that anyone would envy. Thank the stars they have Vuaria at the helm.

Relationship: Rival
Just a vapid little fucking brat with no sense and no brain. He doesn't do any work around Theta, doesn't contribute to its safety, and he kept letting Beta Fragments in before Szeretet gave the okay for it! He's petulant and jealous that Ciro doesn't give him the time of day, and overly rude to Szeretet's constructs. He has no fucking idea why everyone likes Meyp more than they like him, when he actually tries and sacrifices for Theta's well-being.

Relationship: Kind-of Boss
Jubilee himself visited Theta during its lockdown to keep track of its health and other matters, and though Vuaria met with him the most, he often had Szeretet at his side with the most up-to-date statistics. Jubilee treats him so well, too - respectful and listens to Szeretet's concerns and offers real solutions and holy shit it's so nice to be listened to and respected and Jubilee's super calm and smart too and yeah. Maybe he has a little baby crush. It'd end in total disaster though so he hasn't told a soul (except Ciro, who thinks it's cute).

Someone who cares about safety as much as he does! Thank the stars. Radiia is always conscious of the dangers of Theta's outside, and - actually, he's not supposed to smuggle plants and animals inside Theta's interiors, but he brings Szeretet little samples to use in alchemy, and... and that's just really nice of him, okay?

The guy who runs the basement, which Szeretet's bugs are kind of banned from. Well, not like that stops Szeretet - and not like Vivi takes offense to finding one. Rather, he's pretty affectionate towards them - pets them, talks to Szeretet through them, does... other things... he's so hard to get a proper read on. He seems to be happy at least? Good for him? He should still hand over known criminals when they escape down there, though. Not much of a good leader if you're harboring lawbreakers, huh....

Respectably quiet and defers to authority. Maybe he could dress a little less... obscene in public, but Szeretet guesses it's sort of par for the course regarding Theta's basement. Still, maybe drop the collar when you attend meetings? Sheesh. No, shut up about Zirc attending those meetings, he's - shut up.

The advent of privacy screen protectors is, quite possibly, the worst invention known to Theta. It was important to know what information Auroza was handing out about Theta, like candy, to literal strangers online! Shoo, don't touch him. Theta's only been invited to Eta a handful of times since the border opened, and Szeretet has tagged along on even less of those few trips - and he's not gotten a great impression of Aryl. He's like Zirc, but more of a limp noodle and six times less attractive. And also the drugs are a huge problem. How is anyone okay with that?! Where's he sourcing that magic, huh?

Trivia
- The construct army is made up of robot centipede-like bugs. They can communicate through peeps (or Szeretet talking through them) and are pretty hardy. Each one is about two to five inches in length.
- Szeretet has about seven hundred thousand bugs, which is actually an absolutely insane number of constructs.
- Most constructs carry a paralyzing venom, which they inject with a small bite. The venom is custom-made by Szeretet and potent enough to work on Frags who don't stay on top of maintaining poison resistance.
- He has a vested interest in alchemy and is always trying to mix new things in his little office. This led to him accidentally stumbling on heavensunder, which he promptly made into a knife and then buried out in Theta's wilderness.
- Horrified and offended whenever someone hurts one of his constructs - or worse, kills them. Holds grudges about this forever.
- Zirc tried to introduce him to cars. Szeretet kept asking about becoming a traffic cop. And also why Zirc wouldn't obey speed limits.
- Oh man can this boy rant. Don't get him started.

- His fur is yellow, and he has a white patch over the end of his tail and face, and then yellow splotches on his muzzle and cheeks.
