Once, many moons ago, Sundae was a devoted COR member - shy and withdrawn, but deeply dedicated to its work and eager to whittle away at the world's suffering. His diligence and commitment earned him a coveted Overseer position, which he took to well, becoming almost the second face of the organization after Jubilee. It helped that he was the sole receipient of a Pyatiugolnik Blessing, an elusive Mag known for being the most powerful among them. But rather than let this power go to his head, Sundae happily utilized his expansive stores of magic solely to benefit the COR and assist Timelines in an almost comically selfless manner.
Much to his horror, though, that Blessing attracted the attention of Rendgen.
Kidnapped and subjected to intense, mind-melting torture intended to force him to join Rendgen's cause, Sundae's stability and identity collapsed instantly. Though he was swiftly rescued, the fresh trauma and fear kept him from resuming his Overseer position, and ultimately culminated in his leaving the COR to found his Haven - intended to be a place where Fragments would enjoy their individuality again, free of the responsibility and duty the world has thrust onto them. He was joined by his longtime friend Wage, and together the two fully cut ties with the COR - and Jubilee, a stark reminder of Rendgen and the trauma Sundae suffered.
He leads the Haven now, though his bright idealism has morphed somewhat into neurotic anxiety. He tends towards being smothering and overbearing, paranoid that Rendgen would attack him again or that the people under his charge aren't entirely pleased with the Haven for whatever reason. He struggles to even leave the place, convinced it is protected by the use of Pya's magic and that such a thing would keep Rendgen far, far away from him.

Relationship: Life Partner
His best friend... his everything, really. He was right there when Sundae collapsed at his feet, trembling and shaking after Rendgen's torture, ready to jump through any hoop he could to help Sundae. His unconditional love and loyalty has been so healing - at times, almost overwhelming. Sundae knows Wage is interested in him romantically... he could never see them apart, but he's not sure if he could ever be ready to date anyone. But... he hopes he makes Wage feel special, too.
Relationship: Ex-Best Friend
Jubilee still fills him with many mixed feelings, all swirling around unpleasantly. They were close - closer than he'd ever been, to anyone, except Wage. And he admired Jubilee, and they spent so many hours talking about the world, and its meaning, and the stars, and life - and then, he didn't even - he was sorry Sundae was hurt, but he - "Rendgen was just like that". Seeing that shape in his eyes, seeing the exhausted way he stared at Sundae - it stings more than he'd admit. Maybe now that Morning Star has bridged the gap between them, though, they can... make something new together.
♥♥♥♥♡ Morning Star
A good kid with incredible potential. It doesn't take a genius to see why Pya picked him - really, Morning Star and Sundae aren't too different at their cores. But Morning Star has... a bigger support network, and he's got more bite underneath his nice demeanor. Stars, he was willing to nearly kill Jubilee! So... maybe things will go better for him in the long run.
Relationship: Object of Fear
Erratic, unpredictable, selfish, terrifying. Who knows what he saw in Jubilee of all people? Or, he probably just picked him out of pure random happenstance, just for fun. The idea of him makes Sundae so queasy, he can't - can't even think of his name or the world starts spinning.

Morning Star's boyfriend. They are a strange couple in a few ways - Magnotris is much rougher than Morning Star, and has been through some shadier backgrounds... but he's a good protector for him, and they do seem to love each other. He's glad Morning Star has someone he can rely on no matter what, who's strong enough to carry him. He's going to need it.
People always seemed to assume he had a hotline to Pya after being Blessed, but really he didn't, and it's not like Pya said much of note to him other than an awkward plea to keep believing in the good of the world and cherish it. And well, look where that got him - crying in the fetal position after having R- the other Mag shred his identity, and Pya didn't even have the decency to show up or apologize. It hurts.
