Biography

A bright, cheerful, and optimistic beacon who is always going. Mylith has lived a life where few things can truly oppose them, and has long been guided by their unique blend of confident idealism. Someone could crudely call them naive, but that would be wrong - Mylith choses to focus on the positives in any situation, and keeps their head above water through force of will and belief in the inherent goodness of the world. They've seen plenty as helmsman of the Dreamrider, a pocket Timeline that can travel through voidspace, and have saved even more - offering their unique powers to help those suffering, and resolve conflicts they stumble upon. They have been joined by an array of Fragments and lesser beings, believing in their cause and wanting to assist their work.

For they are quite powerful. Polumesec Blessings are not rare, nor are Zvezda Blessings, but Mylith has been gifted exceptionally powerful slices of concepts, granting them the ability to control reality when they dream. While they sleep, they project an astral form that can be interacted with, and imagery from their dreams and thoughts can become real if they will it. This allows them to create things that would not normally be able to exist, alter other people's bodies, minds, and concepts, fundamentally alter what feel like universal laws... the limit is simply how creative Mylith can become. And they are, generally, rather creative.

This power has not gone to their head, but to say that Mylith downplays or ignores it is false. They are well aware of the fact that they can decisively win any fight they become involved in, and this has given a nonchalant confidence to their personality that surprises most. Mylith uses their capabilities solely for helping others, and oftentimes just leaves a situation if the discussion is too morally complicated to be easily solved one side over another. Still, many still appreciate their arrival and assistance, and they're generally smiled upon by most Fragments.

♥♥♥♥♥ Trylliant

Relationship: Partners

Romance was not something Mylith expected. Honestly it's hard to pinpoint how it started - it just felt like a natural transition from meeting Tryl, to befriending him (and Perle!), to spending a lot of time with him, to spending a lot of time with him, to - laying in bed next to him and laughing and telling him stories of life before the Blessing and Timelines and all sorts of things. He's an easy person to be oneself around, with his calm demeanor and apt listening and curiosity. Mylith walks away feeling not known, but understood and grounded, filled with a determination to grab the Dreamrider by the horns and fling it into a problem face-first. Tryl is motivating and encouraging that way, without needing to really do much actual encouraging talk or anything. Just a stalwart, supportive, fundamentally kind person.

♥♥♥♥♥ Perle

Relationship: Best Friends

Perle and Mylith... well, it's hard to describe their relationship. They're not exactly two personality types that would get along well naturally, but they forged a rather strong bond over their mutual affection of Tryl. Perle is more protective of him than romantically in love with him, granted, but it still serves as the foundation of their dynamic. And it grew into Mylith feeling protective over Perle and his wellbeing, especially after hearing the way he thinks about himself and what happened to his Timeline. He's a good guy underneath the self-loathing and the anxiety! He's bright, caring, and much smarter than he thinks he is. He's wonderful.

♥♥♥♥♡ Spica

Relationship: Friendly

A fellow vigilante for good! Mylith doesn't really invite people to live on the Dreamrider, people typically approach them to ask, but they've considered asking Spica once or twice. But he seems... a lot happier off doing his own thing, answering to no real authority. It's a testament to his creativity and quick thinking that he hasn't been significantly bested by a Blessed Fragment or someone with weird powers, honestly. He'd probably make a great sparring partner if it was easier to find him.

♥♥♥♡♡ Jubilee

Relationship: Friendly

The COR levels Mylith with an impressive amount of respect and freedom. The COR's not... pleased with all their actions and how it has no control over them, but it doesn't send teams of operatives out to kick their ass like it does to Ophion. Jubilee himself has always been very cordial and polite when talking to Mylith, and seems to implicitly approve of the Dreamrider as a whole. He's mentioned a few times how the COR would love to actually have Mylith under its wing, but has never pressed the issue. Pretty nice of him!

♥♥♡♡♡ Ophion

Relationship: Acquaintance

Man, it's not like they try to keep bumping into Ophion. But someone's gotta return all of his stolen junk and experiments back where they originated, and it's not too out of the way to make a trip every few dozen slingshots around Headquarters or something. It's a shame he's so full of himself and misguided, because he's got a lot of potential with how creative he is and how far he stretches the limits of magic. Just between you and Mylith, his end goal doesn't even make sense.

♥♥♥♡♡ Meleph

Relationship: Friendly?

He's kind of full of himself. Rather similar to Ophion, actually, but a bit more subtle - though the bar is in the ground. He had a brief stint where he was quite interested in the Dreamrider, but never asked to join it (and Mylith would've said no, anyways). He's seemed to come to the conclusion that he'd be incapable of controlling them, which waned his interest. He's supposedly not terrible to the Bitter Scope, verified by Mylith, so hopefully that attitude extends to the Spire if they hand over power. Not that Mylith thinks that they will, but eh, best case scenarios, right?

♥♥♥♥♡ Ivy Trellis

Relationship: Friendly

Did you know the Spire used Mylith's power to scout out the extent of their Timeline and how deep into the cloudlayer the main tower went? ...Well now you do! Ivy Trellis is sweet, too, she's very intelligent, aware, and observant - an absolute joy to talk to. She means well and holds her head high, which is admirable when you think about how much the Spire has suffered in general. Mylith's kept an eye out for Paragon Moon and Ghost of Books, but hasn't heard tail nor tide of either.

♥♥♥♡♡ the Serpent in the Water

Relationship: Friendly Acquaintance

Mylith helped get them back to the Spire, new 'family' and all. Honestly, they were both surprised as all hell to find each other - Mylith that the Serpent was actually still alive and thriving, the Serpent that the Spire was still looking for them after all that time. They have a strange aura around them that leaves them a bit untrustworthy, and Mylith is never sure what to make of Underground Fragments generally. Mylith's tried getting close a few times, but the Serpent is shockingly cagey.

♥♥♥♡♡ Sundae

Relationship: Acquaintance

He's nice enough. Very paranoid and withdrawn, so he's hard to converse with in a way that's not business or very awkward small talk, which is a shame because the ideas behind the Haven seem very kindhearted! Whatever the case, Mylith hopes that the Haven is actually helping him feel better....

♥♥♥♡♡ Noctia

Relationship: Acquaintance

Sometimes they bump into each other while Noctia and his crew are exploring deep voidspace. Uh, why is the Dreamrider travelling deep, uncharted voidspace? For fun, duh. Anyways Noctia's always happy to see another soul during those expeditions, and it's fun to invite the Delvers onto the Dreamrider for a night to relax and party safely. Noctia doesn't drink or dance or anything much but he seems to sleep pretty soundly, which is sometimes the best you can hope for in Mylith's books.

♥♥♥♡♡ Mellonia

Relationship: Acquaintance

The Hive has definitely made some not-so-subtle offers to Mylith to join their ranks. Sort of. They're technically not supposed to reach out to Frags, it's ideally the other way around, but when has anyone ever followed the spirit of the rules? Anyways. Not that Mylith has something against Sessy, but the idea of serving a Mag's will for the rest of their life... yeah no. Mellonia's a fun person, though, and the Hive member Mylith sees the most of, so they've come to think of him as its true leader. Sessy is the head, Mellonia is the neck, sort of thing.

♥♡♡♡♡ Ometeotl

Relationship: Not Not Enemies....

It's hard for Mylith to say that they necessarily dislike someone. More - that person's actions, or behavior, is what they dislike, and they believe that can be changed with some good old-fashioned redemption. Ome... well they're glad he's doing something that seems to be for the better - for himself and everyone around him. It doesn't really feel like he has any remorse for being, y'know, a warlord, but that's been out of Mylith's hands for ages now, anyways.

Trivia

  • The Dreamrider is comprised of a medium-sized island with several waterfalls flowing off the sides. In the center, amid huge flowerbeds and trees, is Mylith's temple where they sleep and keep their belongings. Scattered around the rest are residential buildings, a sparring arena, gardens, and a dining hall. The temple is the focal point, though.
  • Has a huge soft spot for animals. Keeps inviting them to live on the Dreamrider and sneaking them onboard. The pets are generally docile and well-behaved. Generally.
  • Mylith enjoys changing around their colors every now and again, though they always retain their split-color design. Black/yellow are their secondary favorites.
  • Often snoodles around the Dreamrider picking up random junk to repurpose into gifts later. Still surprisingly good at giving gifts.
  • Likes putting flower crowns on Tryl, or threading petals into his hair.
  • If they weren't already OP enough, Mylith is immune to gold, silver, and copper. They altered themself during a dream so that they could coexist with the metals harmlessly. They don't tend to flaunt this, though, and all the gold they wear is faux.
